Applicants for participation in the Incubator Program will have to complete an application and submit it to the city to be considered. A standing selection committee made up of local business leaders will review the applications and select those with the best proposals. Selection criteria will include soundness of their business plan, viability of their product or service, financial stability and individual qualifications. The proposals can either be for a new business or the expansion of an existing business from outside the Parsons area. Emphasis will be given to creation of new jobs and the providing of a product or service not presently available in the market area.
Steps in Selection and
Review Process
Complete Pre-Qualification Application. May be obtained at Parsons' City Hall or requested by mail or email at addresses shown. Submit to Center for Business Enterprise Coordinator at City of Parsons. Selection Committee will evaluate proposals and determine those suitable for further evaluation based on the incubator selection criteria. Applications meeting the basic criteria well be ranked on how well they meet those criteria. Based on these ranking and the number of available vacancies, the committee will select those meriting further evaluation. Those selected for further evaluation will be asked to have prepared a business plan and may be asked to meet with the committee to present their proposals and answer questions concerning their plans and goals. The Selection Committee will review the applicant's plans and make final selections of those to be admitted to the Incubator Project. Once this is accomplished the Committee will advise the Center's Coordinator of decision The Center Coordinator will advise the Applicants whether or not the application was approved. Those selected for participation will then begin the process of enrolling in the incubator and getting their business started.
