One of the more popular techniques to help entrepreneurs and start-up business firms survive their early years and grow and prosper in the community is the small business incubator. The small business incubator is a physical facility, located on Long Street in Parsons, Tennessee.  The facility consist of three single occupancy retail or service type buildings, one building with two office spaces for rent and a common use business facility.  The common use business facility provides tenants access to a shared copier, fax, fast internet access and  computers. Reduced rent schedules during incubator period are provided for incubator participants.  The Business Enterprise Coordinator assists tenants in having business plans prepared, networking to secure financing, and obtaining business counseling and management advice. Tenants are expected to graduate from the incubator within a reasonable time frame to allow others to use the service. Utilities, telephone and internet service provider fees are the incubator participant's responsibility.  The incubator recoups costs by charging reasonable lease rates over the incubator period.
